You could split the intercessors squad. 2 reasons for this; 1 it gives you more flexibility and makes morale less of an issue 2 you will get an extra attack in close combat from the second sergeant.
As for tactics: stay back and make use of the -1 to hit for as many turns as possible.

I would not suggest having your Hellblasters in the shadows. They have a pretty sweet 30 inch range, use it to your advantage to blaze away at the enemy as they try to advance up the board.

You need liutenants to reroll wound on 1. Banner chapter ancient if you have spare point left over. For intercessor you could easily combat squad them last minute.
Have you seen aggressor datasheet? Good for guarding objectives.

Unfortunately my ancient and LT's are still on a sprue, they will be getting made soon....in time for my first tourney in a month...Aggressors are on my wish list as are Reavers. I did choose the blazing sword for my relic on the captain... (probably have name wrong, +2S, better AP Power sword)

Warlord trait: either storm of fire, 1 extra AP for any wound rolls of 6 for everyone within 6 of the warlord. Or silent strike: no overwatch on your captain.

I was going to go with the extra 6+++ save on him instead...Figured that he will be my primary melee and buffer so want him alive as long as possible...

I lost...Should have been looking closer at objectives 8/10...couple mistakes made...Found it similar to Necromunda (no surprise). Need to check a couple rules in the book, as I think we did saves wrong...and we both forgot a bunch of moral rolls...

Dont get discouraged by loosing games. Its the best way to learn and improve your list. Dont make the mistake a lot of us are making and buy everything... I still have a large box full of unassembled units.
I usually bring the battle primer with me, its a free download from GW with the core rules. Good tool for newer players.

Been gaming for 20+ years (only new to 40k)...a close loss does not upset me at all (and I was ahead in turn 4 so, it was close).
I am pretty much done buying for awhile after my FLGS gets my Primaris Psycher in...
To paint I have basically the contents of Dark Imperium and 30 guardsman, command squad, and Heavy weapon company for my guard detachment, and if I can find them a tac squad of SM that have been in a storage box for 15-20 years,,,,
When I get the video edited/posted I will include a link here...Also will be changing my sig to include all my gaming stuff later tonight...
