As the title states, I'm wanting either a reference guide or pictures on how best to paint Blackshield marines in 30k.

I really like the FW colour scheme, but I haven't a clue on where to start, and Google goes "nope" when searching for a guide, so I'm asking you, the painters of DakkaDakka for help in painting these guys!

Do you have a picture of FW colour scheme?

That place is the harsh dark future far left with only war left.

With the scrolling photos, 5ge scheme that is on the Rhino is the one I want to go for.

Looks like mostly drybrushing will get you the look you're after.

In would have said starting with a deep blue then doing a lot of sponging.with dark grey and Brown before picking a few edges out with the silver scrapes.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

With the Rhino I''d say they've used a very dark grey (something like vallejo heavy charcoal) , possibly adding a little black to it so it's just about not quite black. Then dry-brushed a first highlight of the dark grey, then a second drybrush of a slightly lighter grey. The weathering, with usual techniques, though it looks like a green-yellow in alot of spots rather than rust.
