got a doubles tournament coming up next month and was thinking of running a Genestealer cult army. Format is 50 PL force

Batallion

HQ:

Patriarch: 7 PL (ambush)

Magus: 4 PL

Troops:

10x Acolyte hybrids, 4 power saws, hand flamers, Leader: lash whip & sword 10PL

10x neophytes, grenade launcher, missile launcher 5PL

10x neophytes, grenade launcher, missile launcher5PL

Elites:

15x Purestrain Genestealers (ambush) 12PL

fast attack:

1x scout sentinel, missile launcher, 2PL

Dedicated transport:

1x Chimera 2 heavy flamers, storm bolter, HK missile 5PL

neophytes/sentinel camp objectives/ offer shooting

acolytes with magus rush up in chimera to support genestealer ambush.

I'm currently debating weather i should swap out the patriarch for a primus to go with the stealers and an iconward with relic banner to go with the acolytes and magus in the chimaera.

I highly reccomend a primus for ambushes. It takes a lot of the random out of ambushing.

Swap your patriarch for two primus. Ambush the genestealers turn 1 and the acolytes turn 2. Spread them out to engage a lot of enemy units.

Maybe swap the magus for more neophytes. Large units of neophytes are surprisingly survivable at low points.

Thanks for the advice. I'm probably going to swap out the patriarch but I still feel I really need a psyker of some sort just for a source of mortal wound and dtw in addition to MFB or mass hypnosis
