Was reading over the Tau Codex and noticed the Riptide's Nova Reactor allows him to move 2D6" in the Charge Phase. There appears to be no restriction on him not being able to charge afterwards.

I know Riptides aren't the best in combat but RAW, is this correct? The Riptide can use his Nova to move 2D6" before he declares his charge?

I dont have the Tau codex, but according to the link above you can move closer in the charge phase if you want to charge, or you can move away, if you are in CC. This doesnt count as falling back, because its not happening in the movement phase.

Yes, he can. He can also use it to move out of combat.

Yes, he can. He can also use it to move out of combat.


Never thought of that one, another use for it
