Thoughts on Play so far? Whose playtested a full list? Impression on the Enclaves and so forth?

No playtesting yet, but sat down with the book bouncing ideas off of FLGS and here's some thoughts in no particular order.

-Fuethan and Mor'phann seem to be the top two Enclaves imo. Fuethan with heavy eels and outflanking thralls with soulscryers is just a lot of attacks and a lot of rerolls. Mor'phann namarti spam with soulrenders and supporting bravery buffs (Eidolon of the Sea) is a lot of bodies that regenerate very quickly.

-Sharks don't seem great, and that makes me sad, but I'll field them anyway. There's just no way they pull as much weight as 3 eels, 10 thralls, 10 reavers, etc.

-Tidecasters may end up being difficult to use due to lack of mobility. Steed of Tides might end up being an almost mandatory supplemental spell on an Eidolon to chuck the tidecaster forward and keep her in range. Or they'll be irrelevant, because Eidolons exist.

-Battalions aren't wildly useful at first glance, but there aren't a lot of wild artifact combos either that would demand you take battalions to get multiple artifacts (brain barnacle + whorlshell comes to mind as a fun combo to just ruin a single big hero's day though)

-Army seems capable of really low model count monster mash style lists (Eidolons, Leviadons, Akhelian King, eels) or horde-style (many namarti)

-Low point cost heroes tanking for large infantry blocks may end up a viable tactic vs shooting lists (plop 100pt soulrenders or scryers in front of 300-400pt blocks of eels and/or namarti)

They are my bulwark against the Terror. They are the Defenders of Humanity. They are my Space Marines, and they shall know no fear.
