I've written up a new mission that we'll be trying out tonight; The Battle for Geostation Erpes. This is a placeholder post that I'll update with the report itself – hope that meets the forum's expectations.

Using the classic belligerents of Crimson Fists against the forces of Luggub's Drop Legion, this is a reskin of Rogue Trader's Battle for the Farm; and in that spirit, you should feel free to swap out either force. The Alien Wars project is mainly focussed on Marines vs Aliens of various stripes, but the Nova Terra Interregnum setting makes Imperial on Imperial entirely possible, , if you prefer. (The various xenos species tend to hate each other as much as they do humans, too!)

Intended very much for friendly gaming; I'd love to hear how you get on with it. I've added some variant options if you want to try a more balanced/competitive game.

Here's the full battle report: The Battle for Geo-Station Erpes

Based on the classic Rogue Trader scenario The Battle for the Farm, and named after a throwaway caption in the same publication, this is an 8th edition game between my orks of Luggub's Drop Legion and Bob Hunk's awesome Crimson Fists.

The battlefield is again based on the original scenario:

Hope you enjoy – would love to hear what you think.

I wish more people would throw in photoshop effects into battle reports just to look awesome. Really bring the battle to life.

Just to clarify; there’s no Photoshop here (well, beyond putting the labels on the images). The marines really look like that - they’re packed with LEDs.
