Edited: reworked a list. Made it have 8 makerlights, used Sa'cea sept to basically give those marker lights the ability to reroll with no command points. Tau sept for the main force to try to impact as much damage when they inevitably get charged. The commander in the main force is basically just there to use Kauyon and then the no shoot Command and Control Strategem so basically I just tried to have one of the lowest points commander I could have, could be lower but I want to at least have a gun on him.

the two coldstars need to have x4 fusion. I would remove the shield drones from the second detachment and put them in the first to protect the broadsides. I would find some room to take a pulse accelerator drone to increase the distance of your strike teams. I think you need some more shield drones to protect the riptide and the xv85 commander

I don't see how Coldstars can take 4 fusions. The 40k errata under Tau says:

Page 93 – Commander in XV86 Coldstar Battlesuit,
Wargear Options
Change the first bullet point to read:
‘• This model may replace its high-output burst cannon
and missile pod with two items from the Ranged
Weapons and/or Support Systems lists.’

I believe it can only actually take two items total unless I am reading something wrong.

The answer is in the dataslate in the codex which says in addition it may take upto 2....
The FAQ/errata is just that explanations of or rewording of specific sections of the codex.

There's two different lines in the codex. Only the first line got errata'd. The second line "This model may take two additional items..." is unchanged.
