Assembly
I started of modeling and gluing the model as normal, but i pinned the torso and head separate, I did not attach it to the base until it was completely finished.

Skin
I based the skin on head and torso using and airbush with Gory red, one layer, no worries if it spills on the chitin. I highlighted the skin with Warlock purple and painted the shadows crusted sore. I worked my way back and forth with these colors until i got the desired look.

Brain
I painted the brain using an airbush with a base of Light Turquise, then I drybrushed Temple guard blue, i also spotted it with nihilakh oxide, just as a test, you can find a brighter teal or mix some temple guard and whit for the same effect.

Chitin
Then I based the claws and chitin matt black. Before airbushing the chitin i masked of the skin using "tack it" and and airbushed the edges Mahogany, and then airbushed pure red more towards the centre of the chitin and edges. I thought it turned out a bit dull, so i created some chipping effects on the head for a more interesting look.

Spine
As for the highlights i painted the Spine in the back with vallejo white primer on a brush and then a couple layers skeleton bone, drybrushed Mummy robes and another lighter highlight with a mix of mummy robes and white.

Details
The slits in skin and chitin is 2 layers of necrotic flesh.

The tendrils on the back is Army painter: jungle green

As for the washes, i used in their respective places are in the paints on the top of the page. I washed the bone before the highlight, washed the skin after the highlight, men then went over with the airbush again to bring back the color.

The Base

The base is quick dry clay rolled with GS world Rolling Pin Madness of Cthulhu, a few pebbles from my driveway. Based it with black, then did 2 coats of necrotic flesh. Washed it with strong tone and drybrushed necrotic flesh and then a mix of necrotic flesh and mummy robes

Flocking
lichen from GS world, dry tufts short and long from Mininatur 2mm and 4mm, leaves from ordinary dead leaves i found outside punced with the leaf puncher from GS world, the moss on the stones is jarvis fine tuft: mid green.

If I left anything out, just ask.
