I'd like to see how the 4/16/18 FAQ shakes up the meta, and the thoughts on it after a major tournament - especially once we have some "data".

Does anyone know when the next major tournament, one, or few, will be?

Download the Best Coast Pairings app (free) and take a look at the tons of tournaments planned in the next few months. I belive you can also get the paid version and get all the lists from entrants at those tournaments.

London GT is in a couple of weeks.

I'd prob agree with the London GT. There are other events between then and now, but, the GT will have a lot of players, and, i think because of the faq change, a lot of different takes on lists.

I would have said the WH GT finals, but, they aren't using the faq lol.

Is that the GW tournament? I remember reading that the GW tournaments would not use the beta rules.

No. London GT is an independently organised event and the 40K part (they have tons of other tournaments) is ITC, I believe.

Even before the LGT, there are the GW Heat finals from GW itself at Warhammer Fest in Coventry. Those don't use beta rules, just as the qualifiers for the Heat finals didn't use the previous beta rules (though presumably they now use the character targeting and smite rules, that are no longer in beta-testing stage) so it's a lot less interesting for "meta-watchers".

Broadside Bash just happened. It didn't use the FAQ changes.

The next big tournaments are the London GT (May 18) and the GW-run 40k Grand Finals (May 11). I'm not really following either tournament so I don't know what format/rules they're using.

London GT is pretty much ETC style. Not ITC. Multiple missions from the books played at once. 1 eternal war, 1 maelstrom plus tertiary objectives.

Barnyard Brawl happens this weekend. Has 80'ish attendents (myself included) I believe.

It is ITC, and using the full FAQ, including the Beta rules.
