So here is my attempt at a fishing village. This is going to be for my Test of Honour gaming table. I still need to make accessories for example. Fishing nets hanging to be dried, fish hanging to be dried, and other accessories that one would find in a small village. I tried to give these wooden structures an old oxidized wood look. I might have overdone it. I will admit I am known to be overhanded when weathering.

They look excellent . I would have commented about them since I watch the Facebook group, but I don’t actually do anything on facebook . It’s just a great resource for me to draw inspiration from. Will you do a little boat or docks too?

LOL, Theo your mind is an amazing place, never change.-camkierhi 9/19/13

Boats yes, I will be making some boats but not for a while I still need to get some more supplies first.
Docks no, not for the fishing village.
I still need to make accessories for the village first.

Those buildings are nifty. Are they balsa/craft sticks over foamcore, or something else?

Now showing The Fellowship of the Ring, along with some Dreadball Captains!

Painting total as of 4/13/2024: 31 plus a set of modular spaceship terrain

Painting total for 2023: 79 plus 28 Battlemechs and a Dragon-Balrog

I like them! i don't really think the weathering is overdone, i've seen old wooden and clapboard buildings that look a lot like that.

realism is a lie

Yes I used craft sticks and Balsa wood. I also used black foamcore as the base to glue every thing on top of that.

That's a great idea! They look fantastic! How did you finish them? Do you like test of Honor better than the osprey game? (Forgot the name...

Please update with more pics as you proceed.
