Indeed. Hope to see you across the table, and avenge the handful of losses you've given me in the past.

Are you guys really allowing units to make pile in moves using abilities like Soulburst or stratagems for units that start outside 1” of enemy units (and thus normally can’t activate to fight)?

Can you clarify?

I wouldn't think you can pile in (being less than 1" away) if the unit didn't even start within 1" in the Charge phase.

What I’ve heard is that there has been a ruling that abilities that allow you to select a unit to fight, such as Soulburst, will be allowed to target units that wouldn’t normally be eligible to fight. For example, you could move up a unit of Spears in the movement phase, kill a unit in shooting and then with Soulburst say “I’m picking the Spears to fight even though they are outside an 1” of the enemy.” You then get to pile 3” and fight in the shooting phase, then fight again as normal in the fight phase while avoiding the drawbacks of charging (i.e. overwatch). Is this accurate?

I see... I'd need to look at the FAQ and soulburst rule itself. I'd defer to those who play eldar (yannari??).... I play their dark cousins.

It came through my Clobbering Time chat. Was made initially by redcomet on discord. I’m hearing it might have been reversed.

I've never heard this discussed before, even on the ITC TO discussion page, so I would put no stock in it.

The sources are reliable enough it’s worth following up on. Kinda of a nasty surprise if it gets preapproved in a side channel.

Everyone, I'm glad y'all are interested in Siegeworld and hope to see all of you there for the 40k Tournament! (And Friday "Knight" Social!)

We have a link to all the information about the 40k GT here:
http://gateway-gamers.com/40k-itc-gt.html

As you all can see, we are using ITC guidelines and ITC Champions missions. Also, all current GW rules and Codicies released by August 18th will be in effect.

As for rules, there is no ruling (pending or otherwise) allowing units to make Pile In's outside of 1" with a stratagem or Soulburst, etc, so I wouldn't worry about any hearsay you've heard!

If ITC releases new or updated missions/secondaries prior to the date, will we be using them?

That is our intention, and currently I think the missions/changes are supposed to be released by the end of this week/weekend.

Indeed, a great time. I was a little disappointed with how many people dropped as the event went on, but that had nothing to do with you guys.

This will definitely be added to the list of events I plan on attending next year.
