Hello all!

I fear I may have fell off the wagon when it came to posting my models to this site - between breaks from painting, a year long break from Warhammer 40k period, my terrible photography skills... etc etc

But... I am back, with what I feel are improved painting and photography skills over the years, and with a decent sized collection of painted (and many still working on) models! I figure I will spread these posts out rather than dump every image into one page over the following weeks, starting with my earlier work and going onto the newer stuff!

With that being said - here are some of my older models that didn't get uploaded - The Chosen + Chosen Champion. My only prior models / paint experience before these guys were the other chaos space marine models in the "Dark Vengeance" set.

*** Bonus - I have included a cleaner shot of one of my older posts, the Helbrute, as well as an updated version of the Chaos Lord... who "needed" a set of wings - why sludge across the battlefield on foot??

Greetings, I really like the color palette You selected for these models. It reminds Me of Illidan from World of Warcraft as far as the use of neon greens and purples.

combat engineer - Thanks! I use a mix of paints, most are GW - but the glow green is a Testors "Aztec" Airbrush fluorescent green acrylic on top of a layer of GW Scar White. With it being pre-thinned for airbrushing, it works well for coaxing around the area to allow for a natural highlight to peak through on top of an already obnoxious glow color.

darkstar6783 - Appreciate it - my interpretation of a glowing green for "chaos" came right from the influence of Illidan / World of Warcraft, good catch! I used to have all of my models 'natural' eyes glowing green (similar to how I left the helbrute) - but as of recently went through them and replaced the eyes for actual eyes to give helmets and weapons more of an impact.

Love it. You don't see much non nurgle green chaos, but that really works.

Thanks ShadowCaptain - Generally Renegade (at the end of 7th, I started leaning toward Black Legion) - although as of late I have been working on the idea of Emperors Children (all my daemony 'stuff' is purple, so it sort of looks Slaneshi?), considering converting an unbuilt Dark Vengeance Chaos Lord I have into a Lucius the Eternal (I just can't stand the outdated model currently sold!). It's the curse of a custom painted army - sure I want to stick to the 'actuality' that they are a Renegade Chapter with their own backstory - but some days, I just like the rule sets other factions have access to!
