Freezing to death outside the Fang

So after seeing the list for the first Idoneth livestream I thought I'd copy it but swap out the king for Voltunos to fill in the last 40 points. I don't want to be overly competitive but I do want an army that isn't going to get walked all over in friendly games. So here's my take on the list

Volturnos, High King of the Deep
Eidolon of Mathlann, Aspect of the Sea
Soulscryer
Tidecaster

20 X Namarti Thralls
10 X Namarti Reavers
3 X Ishlaen Guard
3 X Ishlaen Guard

Leviadon

I went with Ionrach because I like the paint scheme and the bonus to magic will go a long way to making the Eidolon and Tidecaster more reliable, plus the ability to add allies at some point in the future would be nice as well. I'm thinking of going with Volturnos as the general as his command ability is pretty nifty although I'd consider using the Tidecaster occasionally if I'm facing an army where high tide on turn 2 is going to be needed. For spells and artefacts I'm thinking the 6th spell (the one that does more mortal wounds the further away you are) on the Tidecaster but the other options I'm not too sure about, possibly the sand artefact on the Eidolon to use with a mystic shield on the Unit of Ishlaens.
For tactics I'd take the unit of thralls and one of the Units of Ishlaens with the scryer to drop them in on turn 3, using the Ishlaens to screen the thralls and scryer if their charge fails. The rest of the army would be anchored around the Leviadon with the other unit of Ishlaens out front to screen and the reavers chilling at mid range with the Eidolon and the Tidecaster in the back to cast protective spells and buffs on the Leviadon and reavers and maximise the damage of the 6th spell from their lore.
Any thoughts?

Looks solid. I personally am not a fan of the Reavers and would rather take more Eels, but to each their own.

Some people will tell you to drop the Leviadon in favor of more eels (and more eels, and more eels) but the bonus to cover is very nice when running the Ishlaen Guard with Mystic Shield (especially with the Sands artifact) to give them a +2 save on 4 wound models that ignores rend.
