Hello, im having a problem figuring out how to highlight skin areas after i have applied wash over the initial skintone. Attached is the model I am currently working on, as you can see its still in early stages of painting but I have stopped at skin highlights as I am not happy the way this looks so far. Hoping someone can help with some good tips:
My process was to apply regular flesh tone (the one i desired for ghouls) and then wash the entire skin area with flesh wash from secret weapon. This made the entire model very yellowish looking as shown in the last photo. I have tried applying highlights with the original flesh tone paint but i ended up either hiding the shadows or leaving too much of the washed skin showing underneath, this is highlights after 2 light coats and one white highlight on raised areas.
Can someone suggest a better approach to highlight area I have previously washed?
