So My WIll Be Done is a buff that an Overlord can give to a friendly dynasty infantry unit within 6" to add 1 to their advance, charge and hit rolls for a turn and Wave of Command is the same rule but extended to 12" and given by a Catacomb Command Barge. I was wondering if you bring multiple Overlords and/or also a CCB if you can give this rule to multiple units as the rule states "A unit can only be chosen as the target of Wave of Command or My Will Be Done once in each turn.". From my understanding, you were only allowed to apply this rule once, even if you had multiple units who could give it out but i've been seeing some battle reports where people are giving it out multiple times? I assumed they were just using it wrong but I play necrons and would love to give this out a bunch if I can.

You can use MWBD or WoC multiple times, you just can't use it on the same unit.

If you have 3 Overlords, you can affect 3 units with MWBD, but you can't affect one unit 3 times.

What if the same ability had a different name ? Could you target the same unit with it ? The rule for MWBD says : "A unit can only be chosen as the target of this ability once in each turn." The ability in question is called "My Will Be Done". There are named characters who have a different name for the same ability : "My Will Be Done (Anrakyr)". Can they target the same unit ?

They all have the same MWBD. You may be thinking of the CCB that has Wave of Command, which is the same as MWBD, however it lists in its rule that is cannot be put on a unit with MWBD.

If all have the same MWBD, why would they give named characters a different name for the ability, with their names in brackets ? Makes no sense to do that, unless GW wants named characters to buff an already buffed unit.

Where is it listed as 'My Will e Done (Anrakyr)'?

It doesn't. They are looking at the battlescribe entry, which list the character name as they described.
