Is there any connection between how Perturabo looks far older than his brothers and his war against the Hrud in "Hammer of Olympia". I expected it to be addressed in that story but I don't think it was...

No, he wasn't present at the campaign, Dantioch was the leader. I don't think he is intended to look older, just fw aren't always great at sculpting faces.

The Primarchs Peturabo book is what you are looking for, he was indeed fighting the H'rud
