Morning all.

I have decided to make my own custom primaris chapter to build upon the dark imperium Primaris stuff.
This list is not planned to take part in any competitive tournaments however it would be great to hear all of you guy's opinions on the viability of this list and how easily I would be able to build off of the list.

It’s a little light on anti-tank, but as a primaris list that’s kinda a given.

Might be worth gong with 2x3 incepter squads. Generally MSU is the better choice. Also it would give you more then one mobile squad. Besides deployment tricks, you are not very mobile.

I like powerswords and AGLs in the intercessor squads, but that’s a minor point.

You are all footslogging, with only the dread as a vehicle. He’s going to eat all the AV fire from the other side of the table turn one. That said, that’s the same kind of multi-wound firepower that’s going to be cashing out your 2W marines, so a turn of freedom might be worth it.

I think you will do OK in casual games. Mech heavy lists are going to be a bad match up, but that happens. You might also struggle in maelstrom games where you need to reposition on the fly.

As a core to an army, I think you are fine. It might be worth adding some scouts for some screens/board control. A little long range AV would also be nice. If you want to avoid old marines, it might be worth adding a pred or two, or some flyers. The repulsor is also an option. Expensive, but gives you some AV and mobility in one package.

Yeah, AV and footslogging is a worry. I was considering dropping aggressors and one 3 man squad of inceptors to instead take a repulsor however I don't know if that is sacrificing too much fire power.

I was also considering going Dark angels as they seem to have some enjoyable non Primaris things which I could later delve into however I am not too familiar with Dark angels and where the excel.

I wpuld replace the captain in gravis for a captain on bike. Same stats but better movement as well as better ranged weapons.
