I wasn't even born back then. But that author had actually a particular way of writing and singing that makes him awesome and is why deserves to be a classics.

"The Dakka Dive Bar is the only place you'll hear what's really going on in the underhive. Sure you might not find a good amasec but they grill a mean groxburger. Just watch for ratlings being thrown through windows and you'll be alright." Ciaphas Cain, probably.
I'm currently going through my old CD collection. I have recently finished Judas Priest's "Painkiller" album and I'm now currently listening to Iron Maiden's "Powerslave" album.
God, I forget how epic British heavy metal was...

Enjoying what I've seen so far of Diamond Black. They're a new band, just released their second track - the one I'm linking is their first. Their guitarist Ben Christo plays for The Sisters Of Mercy - saw them last year and thought he rocked, so when I heard he was forming a new band I was all over it.
Because they were on Radio 6 yesterday, and a song was played on the breakfast show on my way to work this morning, I think it's time to play all of Troublegum loudly on the way home.

You mean is! Priest's new album is great.

Melodic crossover thrash/hardcore from NYC. One of the best voices in the scene.

Bassist for this particular track is a local boy. And a bit of an arse.
Aren't all local bassists a bit of an arse?
Nope! The bassist in the punk band my good lady wife and I were in was the one person that held the band together! Calm and reasonable, even when the band was busy sniping at each other. (Lead guitar had a crush on my then girlfriend - and actually apologized later... for being an arse. Me, I was an old grump, so pretty much normal. )
Listening to Offa Rex right now -
Well, right now I am listening to knocking on the door - my wife's Eberron game is about to start for the night.

The reason I bought rules and became a real wargamer was because I wanted a properly thought out structure to govern the action instead of just making things up as I went along.
Awake, awake ye thread of surprisingly little interest to most!
Here’s a group I found whilst wandering Youtube. I dunno what it is, but their music has a serious appeal to me, even though it’s not of my own culture.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

Listening to a bit of Amon Amarth lately. Although it makes me want to dig out my box of gripping beast plastic vikings I’ve had sat there for too long.
Recently discovered the metal band Ghost... and can't get their songs out of my head. Plan on seeing two of their shows in two nights when they come to my state in November.
