Sometimes you have to go for your dream and that’s what a lifelong gamer, Nathan, did. He started Mighty Lancer Games online two years ago with the dream to bring all the cool aspects of gaming that he loves to others at a reasonable price, but he didn’t stop there, the dream grew and just a year later he opened a brick and mortar shop in the East Yorkshire seaside town of Bridlington. If you think that would be enough for one man to take on then you would be wrong, the dream kept growing, maybe a little too big, but that hasn’t stopped him and now his passion for gaming has born about Ambush!

Ambush! is a wargaming event, the first we have ever arranged, it is a two-day event with camping on site because, well, if you are going to do it you may as well go all out. Local gaming groups from Market Weighton, Driffield and Scarborough are all involved, food is being provided by the Martonian Inn from Bridlington, there are participation games to have a go at, demonstration games to help you to try something new, tournaments, local band playing on the night and traders so you can buy awesome new things.

Ambush! is taking place on 23rd & 24th June this year (2018) at the Rix Pavilion, Driffield showground YO25 9DN from 10am-4pm each day and more information can be found on the event information page https://ambushwargamesshow.wordpress.com/ and there is also a Facebook page for chatting and discussing.

Nathan is a regular family man striving to bring something new and exciting to the community, the event is different from anything like it in the area, it will not make a profit but that was never the intention, it really is to bring awesome gaming to all.

Please support Ambush!, spread the word, come along and have fun doing what you love….gaming!
