How did you make the round hay bales?

Looks fantastic!

The big group of bales are made by JTT scenic but the single bale is scratch made from jute string which is shredded down and then glued onto sellotape . You then just wind it up very tightly. I am also experimenting with animal bedding ready shredded.

Very nice, what size board does that cover? Really like the greenhouse especially.

Each board is 2 x 2 feet square and I made 6 boards. The farm fits nicely onto a single board. I have only really posted up pictures of the one board as I am still working on some more buildings for them. The other boards are flocked and have road on them but nothing else as of yet.

Fantastic work there! It would be a real treat to play on a board like that. Well done!

Really nice farm, love the greenhouse in particular.
Is that made from thin wood and acetate?

Despite being anachronistic for a ww2 scene the round bales are great as well. Thanks for sharing the technique!

The greenhouse is made by Britain’s slightly wrong scale but works well and yes you are correct about the round hay bales .Perhaps the farmer was ahead of his time and would become the corner stone of modern agricultural methods ? On the other hand lol
