It pretty much started when i was seven and stood gawping in the hobbies section at crisis battlesuits, now i've finally decided to do it. I chose the orks and so far i've got a unit of boyz, a trukk and a unit of stormboyz (not all painted).

I'm just here to ask 1. What makes a good ork army? And 2. What's the best way to play them?

Hi there. Welcome to Dakka.

Ork armies vary quite a lot. Poke around looking for threads about the new codex, and see what people think about that.

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

I wouldn't know much about nowadays orks but back when I used to play them (5th ed) I would take a Wierdboy for a Boss and fill his army with as much randomness as the codex would allow. Anything with a random unpredictable element was very much my choice and it made for many very entertaining games though I can't recall ever winning any of them. Haha. Orks used to be a gambler's army, not sure if that's still the case.
