Subject: Can an Imperial Knight with a Gauntlet Throw a Destroyed Transport onto its Disembarked Squad?
- My Renegade Knight charged my buddy's Chimera, with a squad of veterans and a commissar inside
- After proceeding to wreck the Chimera with its Thunder Gauntlet, the veterans and commissar make their emergency disembarkation rolls
- My Renegade Knight makes his 4+ roll and is now holding the wrecked Chimera triumphantly aloft
RAW or RAI, is my Renegade Knight now eligible to throw the wreckage back on the veterans who disembarked or does it have to target another squad?
As per the "Rule of Cool", my buddy and I agreed that it was totally fair for my Knight to throw the wrecked transport back onto the veterans. It was awesome.

You can, because you select a unit within 9" of the knight, not the now dead transport. As per the Rulebook FAQ, the models disembark before the model is removed (which is part of being slain, so they are out before the transport is slain), at which point the transport is slain, and the veterans are out, thus are a legal target for the Thunderstrike Gauntlets rule.
