I've had my T'au army painted for a while. They could use a little touch up, but they are definitely tabletop quality. Was thinking about using them since they are already painted. Which drones are important to bring with my army. Which drones should I take with Breacher Teams, Strike Teams, Commanders, Riptides, Stealth Suits, Crisis Suits, Pathfinder teams, and Broadsides?

My answer to this question was once markerlights, on anything and everything. Now though? Either nothing or gun drones all the way.

Shield drones all the way.

Generally speaking, independent units of 4 or more shield drones is a popular choice. Marker drones are ok with drone controller since they are more durable and mobile than pathfinders. Gun drones are overcosted after a 50% increase from index to codex so most people don’t bother.
