Can't even tell what province it is. My first guess would be Hammerfell since it seems pretty arid despite all the greenery. Plus the sandy coloured castle. I think I'd enjoy that. Wonder how big they'd make the desert wastelands.

I'd be fine with High Rock as well.

I was expecting Valenwood but it doesn't look like there are enough trees to interpret that trailers as being a sky shot of the jungles.

I am not convinced that either the image or the music are anything but placeholders. The music was especially rough.

I think the title of it is "Elder Scrolls 6: Blades"

And its being advertised as a mobile game?

Nope. That was a different thing. Town builder/monster hacker.

This was literally less than a minute of a camera swoop, with zero details beyond 'this game that people actually want to see from us exists.'

Ew, that music. What did they do to the theme tune? That was difficult to listen to.

You thought that too? It seemed so...brass-y and in your face from the get, no build up or epic feeling that the previous incarnations had.

Also, hyped for this, here's hoping we don't end up with a 'full online multiplayer elder scrolls that will revolutionize the series. Also, loot boxes.'

Was there really any doubt that there would eventually be a TES6? I get some people might have been worried that TESO could stop any future TES games like WoW did for Warcraft, but I doubt TESO was rolling in the truckloads of cash to do that. I would have preferred a simple pubic statement confirming they're working on it rather than the teaser we got.

Personally, though, I'm looking forward to the new Very Special Edition of Skyrim.

I reject absolutely revenge, aggression, and retaliation. The foundation of such a method... is love. I love you Sheriff Truman." - Twin Peaks

I can see it now. The actual trailer gets released, the V and I will slowly drift apart. A colon will appear between them. "Just when you thought Skyrim was safe, a new threat from the south emerges. The first major expansion to the critically acclaimed game! Coming to literally anything with a screen. Bust out that tomagatchi boys, there is Skyrim to play!"

Lets be honest. It could take place in a 5 square foot room and we'd all still go wild.

‘Twas only 30 seconds, but speculation is fun!

Would be curious to see what comes out of it. In terms of main games, they’ve already covered Hammerfell (twice-ish), High Rock (kind of), Morrowind once, Cyrodil once, and Skyrim once. Black Marsh and Elsweyr seem out of the picture from lack of desert/marsh in the teaser. That leaves Valenwood, Summerset Isles, and possibly High Rock.

Summerset Isles would probably allow the player to continue through the Thalmor situation that was left in Skyrim. Seems a bit weird to just leave that there, since it affects a sizeable portion of Tamriel. ESO received an expension for Summerset Isles already however, so it might not make sense to have it immediately after the release of the expansion.

Valenwood and High Rock would be interesting, though differentiating them from Cyrodil might be difficult. Valenwood seems easier to differentiate with it’s higher focus on forests (as opposed to Skyrim with its focus on snow). High Rock would allow a clean slate, since there might not be much information on the province. High Rock was already involved in Daggerfall however (I think). Then again, both Hammerfell and High Rock were only half-used in Daggerfall, so High Rock might still be utilized. I’m doubtful of Hammerfell though, since that was already used in ES: Redguard.

Of course, it’s also possible that it might not be a specific province. Battlespire and Daggerfall didn’t focus on the entirety of provinces, but those were relatively older games before the current pattern of basing games on the entirety of provinces.
Anyway, just getting some thoughts out there for fun.

I'm certainly looking forward to it. I really enjoy the little mini-genre called "Bethesda Games". The storylines are usually a bit pants and the physics engines janky, but I really enjoy the free form exploration based play and having gotten into mods, the immersive features they add make the games pretty compelling.

I'm even one of those heretics who prefered Fallout 3 to Fallout NV.

I was hoping for Valenwood, because a huge forest of magical trees could be pretty awesome, and the Bosmer are a pretty fun take on Wood Elves. But really I will likely enjoy whatever they put out.

I think the "teaser" consists of generic "Elder Scrolls" flavored images and music, not necessarily anything indicative of what ESVI is actually about.

Not really images, it'd just a fairly dull landscape that could have been done in Skyrim's engine. Which makes some assertions that they were waiting for next gen tech rather...odd.

Its mostly just a title splash as a concession to fans who are sick of waiting (and somewhat convinced ESO meant it wasnt coming at all)

Right - so I would guess they wanted the look to be something familiar to the widest possible audience, which is to say, make it look somewhat like Skyrim. If they wanted to give away the setting of ESVI, they could have done so. The visual here was just generic. Just like the music was just generic. And of course no title was revealed.

I'd like to have heard a mysterious rendition of the theme and panned down from the glowing moons to a sweeping desert.
