Lovely work as usual, LutherMax! Any chance of an army shot of the Raptors at some point?

I have been promising one for quite some time... it will be soon (I promise ha!). I’m working on the Captain now and then it makes sense to take some army shots.

Great work again!
But most of all congratulations on your persistance; I would have burned out by now adding this much detail to each and every unit over and over again.
I gave up on my plague marines after I painted 10, I can only imagine if I tried primaris marines with all that blending. You are a master, keep it up!
PS: Don't think I didn't notice you hollowed out the bolter on the reloading marine where the clip inserts. Amazing detail!

There is a method to this. When I first started with this army I was conscious of choosing a scheme and method I could replicate quickly (in contrast to my Blood Angels which were more complex). I broke it down into four stages:
1. Priming and airbrush basecoat
2. Decals and shading wash
3. Basecoating details
4. Highlights and detailing
Each of those stages is easily manageable in a single session on batches of five models. If I find I have more time I may be able to complete two stages in one longer session. So breaking it down into those manageable chunks helped massively with my productivity. Writing the process down in the step by step on my blog also helped - I often refer back to it myself!

I’m glad someone noticed!

Great advice (that I will be following myself with my Ultramarines).

I really like your green, I have a project in mind that asking for a very similar tone. I'm not nearly as skilled a painter but what paints would you recommend to achieve a similar look to that green if I'm just looking to use a brush and only wanted to use 3 colors?

Thanks LordTyphus!
I actually did a tutorial on how I paint the green, detailing the paints I used. For wet brush you can just use the non-air equivalents of the Citadel greens, though I'm not sure what you'd use to replace the Vallejo Burnt Umber...
