Hello,
There are two passages with in the new imperial knight 8th ed codex that conflict with each other. I’m planning on running this army in an upcoming tournament, and therefore need a definitive answer.
On Pages 88 and 89 in the new 8th ed imperial knight codex, there is an example of an army. In the example, the army consists of two lances 92 super heavy detachments) and a freeblade. Lance number one (super heavy detachment 1) is comprised of a knight warden, and knight paladin, and a knight castellan. The second Lance (super heavy detachment 2) is comprised of a knight errant and 2 armingers. At the bottom of that passage it says That “this army fulfills the requirements of two super heavy detachments. It is also battle foraged, it’s player receives nine come in points to spend on stratagems...”. This clearly states that a super heavy detachment comprised of one knight and 2 armigers earns command points. Under the command point table in the rule book, it says that the “command benefit” is the command points.
On page 106 of the same codex, under the description of the knight lances, it says that three questoris and/or Dominus class units must be present to be receive the command benefit. Does that include command points? Or do you get the command points however you do not receive the household benefit? I need to know what you do and do not get when you run a lance comprised of one knight and two or more armingers, as well as any other possible knight class combinations that comprise a lance.
Please clarify the difference between command points, command benefits, and household benefits. While I understand that this may seem very simple, I would like definitive answer if possible.
