I'm in close combat with my wyches, can I shoot my pistol with 3 and throw a grenade with the fourth?

Do the rules allow for anything other than pistols to be used when you are within 1 inch of an enemy model?

You cannot throw Grenades while within 1" of an enemy unit.

Let's ignore the fact the Pistol rules don't even work, if they did, you only have permission to fire the pistols within 1" of an enemy, you don't have that permission for grenades.

And your OP is a bit unclear, but pistols cannot be used during the fight phase - only the ensuing shooting phase if your opponent didnt fall back, remained in the fight, and then came back to your own shooting phase.

So yeah, getting to use your pistol in combat is actually rather rare to begin with.

It's always better to opt for a CC weapon with extra swing as you get to use it during your opponents fivht phase as well.
