Does any one have experience with the wych cult weapons greatly on a succubus?

my thoughts:

hydra gauntlets: good. double more re-rolls are always good
razor flails: ok potential xtra attacks but useless redundant re-rolls
shardnet & implaller: yay extra damage. not sure if the better no escape is better though.

Any thoughts would be very appreciated
thanks

Razorflails are basically never optimal.

Punch succubus can be good with the "mortal wound on a 6" warlord trait. I like it for when you want to have your relics elsewhere like say you're running Strife for your wyches but you want to have a Vexator Mask and a Writ of Muse in your army and you dont want to spend 3CP to unlock the tryptch whip build for your WL trait succubus. Bit of a niche pick though, but can be fun.

S+I is basically the go-to succubus build if they dont have relic or trait. flat 2 damage and -1ap is great for fighting charater duels, because most characters feature an invuln 1 less than their armor anyway. And increased No Escape is money pretty much anywhere you can get it. It's so good.

Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

I like the Relic Glaive myself as the Cult theme is quite nice - Advance and Charge.

Not tried the Wych weapons though

I run two battalions of Red Grief and my warlord has the blood glaive of course but my 3 other wyches all have hydra gauntlets with +str combat drug. 5 attacks at str 4/-1ap/1d, rerolling hits and wounds isn't bad for a 54pt model.

Yeah with each HQ type the best builds for combat involve relics and WL traits. but you're guaranteed to have at least some basic HQs with no access to those things if you want to have decent amounts of CPs to play with. Blood Glaive and 3++ trait is great for your first RG succubus, but if you're doing a battalion I'd always take S+I on the second.

Punchubbus is mostly something I'd consider on a Strife succubs with the mortal on 6 trait. If you're going Cursed Blade, S+I is nearly always the best.

For my red grief glaive succubus I'm considering using double drug WL trait with +atk/+str. I know it's kind of ballsy but I feel like the best defense is a good offense, they can't kill you if you kill them first. Plus, if you use Hyperstimm Backlash you get a total of 6 attacks at str 8 with -3ap and D3 damage. Sure, you do take D3 mortal wounds but as I said, they can't hit you if you kill them first. Also, you can use the Red Grief strat to simply dance back into a transport after.

I have my Blood glaive and Tryptch Sucubi. This question is very much for a secondary or tertiary Succubus.

I can see the points in favor of Hydra and S&I based on what trait they may or may not have. RFs does just seam to fail on our gladiatorial Leaders

Playing small games so running three patrols - one of each sub faction - just for fun. So just the one Succubus with the Glaive.

I did that - the whole kill them before they kill you 4++ is not too bad and we still have ignore on 6+ as well.

Enjoying killing a hyped up Wolf Lord on his Wolf the other day - lots of talk about him and being soooo Awesome. Shot him on the way in with blast pistol - 6 wounds - getting the last one was not hard

I usually run my Cursed Blade and Strife succubi with splinter pistol and archite glaive, but sometimes I give one of them the relic Agoniser and/or the blast pistol if I have some points spared but not many other things to buff.

The Red Grief succubus is amazing with the glaive because the relic one is quite powerful. Blast pistol is always good but pricey, definitely a nice option but not mandatory.

I never tried the wych cult weapons on my succubi, they look better on regular wyches.
