I have finally decided to invest into some Dispossessed. I want to build 1000 point army of defensive dispossessed with some Ironweld arsenal sprinkled in for heavier firepower.
I wanted to go with a wierd list with very few, very large units, a bit like the free peoples armies you see, but much shorter in stature.

My current list is something along the lines off:

Warden King 120 pts

Runelord 80 pts
- ancestral pickaxe/piledriver gauntlets

30 Warriors 240 pts
-Two handed weapons and shields (you can totally do that)

10 Lonbeards 120 pts
-Great wepons and shields

20 Thunderers 240 pts

1 Cannon 180 pts

Comes up to 980 pts

The general idea is to sit back and shoot your opponent or advance and shoot as both can work pretty well. The Runelord and the Wardenking anchor the frontline with leadership buffs and piledriver gauntlet debuffs as well as some runes for extra rend. The warriors supported by the longbeard's grumbling will do most of the work in close combat while the cannon and the thunderers will have to weaken any behemoth or other elite unit the warriors aren't comfortable dealing with e.g.: Shark cavalary or Paladins.

I also could never figure out which was better, the quarrelers or the thunderers. The rend and the aethtetic of gunpowder weapons in both the Old World and the Mortal Realms appealls to me, but on the other hand the rend is no longer so necesarry as the magic shield spell got nerfed and a bunch of armies like Nurgle, Iodoneth Deepkin and the new Ghosts don't care for saves so much. This leaves the rend stat not that useful, on the other hand it will shred Ironjawz, Chaos and Stormcasts rerolls or no rerolls.

P.S.: Everyone takes a runic Icon, I presume it can help avoid t\any of the roaming spell effects aswell.

"Beyond that opening are my enemies. Behind me are warriors who would happily turn their weapons on me if they thought they could get away with it. Do you really think I'm doing this to try and impress anyone? I know who I am, and I don't give a greenskin's fart what anyone thinks of me."

Nice balanced Dwarf list, and I dig that big fighty mob of Warriors.

Leaked GHB18 points put you here:

Warden King - 120
Runelord - 100
30 Warriors - 240
10 Longbeards - 100
20 Thunderers - 240
Cannon - 160
-------
960

Not a lot of points to work with, but enough to bump those Warriors up to max size of 40 Which are actually a pretty legit horde for the points, with shield wall and resolute in defense and the runic icon.
