With AoS 2.0 coming out I want to use my Ogors bit I had some confusion on possibly being restricted on using some of my models. IE, I just want to use the destruction alliegence but I was told I couldn't use my forstlord on a stonehorn with my normal Ogors since it was more than 20% of my army. I think I'm mixed up on alliegence and allies but mostly want to know how I can construct lists. Thanks!

So, basically everything belongs to a Grand Alliance, for Ogors it's Destruction. When making a list, everything has to belong to that Grand Alliance. From there, you pick your Allegiance. If it's all one thing like Ogors, you can take a more restricted Allegiance but you usually get bonuses, like Leadbelchers are now Battleline (required minimum units). The trade off is any Allies you can take can only be 20% of your points.

If you just take the Grand Alliance Allegiance, you can take anything, but a lot of units won't be battleline. So in this case, if you did Ogors allegiance, you couldn't take the Frostlord. If you take the Grand Alliance, you can, but now Leadbelchers aren't Battleline. Here's a nicer write up.

Also, get the Azyr listbuilder app by GW. It breaks down all of this for you and tells you what you can and can't take. It's only like $1.50 a month.

No problem. Ofcourse, this is all contingent on GHB 2018 being similar, but I don't see any major changes.

If you're using actual Ogors to fill your battleline then there's no issue, you can take any of the Destro things. The problem is if you're trying to use Ironguts or Leadbelchers as battleline, in which case you gotta go all Gutbusters keyword and ally in a Huskard on Stonehorn instead - I have done this exact dance myself
