Anyone know when the Omega will be available again?

Probably never. It's been OOP for a while and FW don't seem to bring stuff back into production.

Yeah but if that was the case they wouldn't have added the rules to if or 8th.

Handy for those who already have one or have scratchbuilt it. They've never made a Dominus model but have kept the rules going.

The 8th edition rules have quite a few OOP units in them, to support people who bought those kits when they were available. It's very unlikely that this kit returns after being gone so long, especially when the rules are so awful and unable to drive sales of it.

Just email FW. I did so regarding the Iron Hands Contemptor Dreadnought which is out of production, and they gave me a straight answer. They said they have no current plans to bring it back. My guess is the molds got too messed up and they didn't sell enough to justify updating them. I would guess that's the case for most of these random FW items that just "disappear".

Sometimes I wonder if they're in some kind of devil's pact with eBay by getting rid of popular lines and units and pushing everything to the second hand market...

I doubt it. The stuff that goes OOP tends to be niche-market products even in a niche market of FW within the niche market of miniatures as a whole. I can't think of any of the OOP kits recently where I've been surprised too much, it's all been things I would expect to have very low sales volume. Some of them have been annoying to lose, but there just isn't much money involved here.
