If I bring in a raider full of troops with the screaming jets stratagem, can the troops dismount and charge the same turn?

Why Aye Ya Canny Dakkanaughts!

No, you disembark at the start of your movement phase and this stratagem brings your vehicle in at the end of it.

Lame.

The wythces and Grots can walk faster than they can move with this stratagem.

Realistically, these DS stratagems are best used for either; keeping something important off the board turn 1 so it doesn't get insta-gibbed; or for dropping an Obsec unit on an Objective near the end of the game/for bonus maelstorm.

or you can disembark them on turn 1 to gain that extra 3" to their movement.

But it is also good if you DSing a unit of kabalite warriors in a raider. They would all be able to fire at rapid fire range.

Not if you're bringing them in from off the board, what mrhappyface said still applies.

Right, should have clarified that. I meant deploy the raider from the start at the edge of your deployment. I suppose "Instead of deepstriking" was what I had meant to imply when I used the word "or"

Raiders are cheep, but they are still an expensive way to get and 3 inches of movement 1 time only.

Better off with webway portal. Power from pain give everyone reroll charge turn 2. 9 inch with a re-roll no problem.

Looking for a reliable t2 charge from Grots with a Haemy. They might just walk. If its a big unit. Or ride the raider the normal way. No problem getting a charge T2 that way, have to keep it out of line of sight though. I don't want it getting blown up before it can drop off the payload.
