So I've finally decided that I need something better than random pots and corners of bags to put dice in so I figured a good dice bag would be an option. However whilst it seems dead easy to find smaller bags for DnD; finding those suited to wargames (which lets face it have way way way more dice) is a bit trickier.

So I figured I'd turn to my fellow wargamers and see what you are all using to carry your dice!

For 40k use I have a little KR dice tray/box.

For roleplaying I use one of those pencil cases designed to go in a 3 ring binder. Not that I keep my RPG stuff in a binder anymore, but I used to. I just keep my active dice in there. 5 of each polyhedral, with some extra d6s and d10s/percentage dice.

My bulk extra dice I keep in an old mesh dive bag.

Discerning gamers of age will often use Crown Royal bags.

When I buy neodymium magnets they often come in a foam insert inside of a metal box. I use one of those metal boxes to hold dice.

One of these https://www.vaultz.com/catalog/boxes-cases/pencil-boxes-art-supply-storage/supply-box-3d-velociraptor-vaultz-vz03671.html only with planets instead of velociraptors. The lock is very convenient. Too many dice thieves in this world.

When it is opened the lid lies flat so I can use it as a rolling tray if needed.

An actual GW dice bag released years ago, a crown royal bag, a stiff bag I got at an FLGS.
Used to be just a ratty plastic bag.

I just use a plastic freezer bag.

Might not look all that great, but mine holds a good 30+ dice with plenty of room to spare. It's pretty cheap too, if you use freezer bags for their intended use often. I can also attest to its durability (provided you don't throw it around in some Khornate battle ritual or something)

I have more than one set of Chessex dice, and I just keep them in the plastic containers they came in. Ditto for my GW Dark Angels dice. I have a bunch of older Dark Angels dice that I got off of eBay a while back, along with a set of Adepticon dice that were given to me by a friend, and those I keep in a small bag that I got at my FLGS (probably meant for RPG sets, but big enough to hold about 40 dice so it suits my purpose. If I wanted to just throw a bunch of dice in together I might get a hold of a Crown Royal bag from one of my friends who drinks (I don't drink).

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~15000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Adeptus Custodes: ~1900 | Imperial Knights: ~2000 | Sisters of Battle: ~3500 | Leagues of Votann: ~1200 | Tyranids: ~2600 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000

Crown Royal bag. Thing is, it's my Dad's, and it's old because he hasn't touched hard liquor since the 90's. I've been using it to hold dice since... 2001, I think. It's been to 6 different countries and was almost confiscated in one because dice (even D&D dice) were considered gambling material in Qatar.

It's had to be washed a few times and stiched up a bit. Maybe I can get it out and take a picture at some point. I really don't like doing pictures, but this thing is sentimental.

We have a local person who makes chain mail dice bags. I think he can be found on Etsy.

Also, FFG makes some good-sized dice bags, though they are Star Wars flavored. I have the stormtrooper one.

Usually though, I just keep my d6’s in the cubes I get from cheesex.

It's great! Though, be warned, the pointy bitz (toofpoints) tend to delaminate from the bag a bit, but it still looks good.

This might be my time to shine! I've been making dice bags for about eight years now, and I'm obviously biased but I think they're pretty perfect for 40K. Each will hold around 160 dice, which means you can usually fit a small tape measure in there as well. My Etsy can be found at greyedout.etsy.com
