I have started painting my Hierophant and it is so pain stakingly slow. I got an airbrush, but even with that, priming and doing my 2 main base coats it took several hours. I havn't even gotten into the detail work yet. When painting large models like Titans, Dioramas, dragons, etc.... What is the best way to go about it? Best to paint all one color on entire model then next color and so on. Or best to focus on an area, say a wing, or the legs and do that section all the way to the end, then go to another section and so on. Any other special tips for painting large models? Bigger brushes, airbrushes, special techniques, etc?

advice I can offer with a spray gun, do the airbrushing sections as whole colours at once, but when you come to brush work do a bit of the model each night, if you mix colours mix them in pots you can seal so you can work over a few nights.

when you get bored, put it down, do something else
