I’ve seen a few conflicting answers so I’m a little unclear. Do knights is a Super Heavy Auxiliary Detachment still gain a house keyword and access to house specific stratagems? I know they are excluded from house traditions but am unsure on the keyword but. Thanks for any help!

Yes, they get a keyword (this is unrelated to detachments) and unlock Stratagems, because the rules for Imperial Knights stratagems do not deny SHAD from unlocking them.

Remember, "sub-faction" specific stratagems don't need a detachment of that "sub-faction" to unlock them, you unlock all stratagems or no stratagems, there is no in-between.

A freeblade in a SHAD unlocks general stratagems and household specific stratagems. You can make him a character and give him a warlord trait and access to relics. Knight FAQ confirms that he can get qualities and burdens.

Why are you saying a SHAD costs a CP? Is this Knight-specific? Because BRB doesn’t say a SHAD costs you a CP, it just gives zero.

Yes, i was wrong. The aux detachment is -1 CP, not the SHAD.
