Hi everyone! I´m thinking to start in WH40K hobby. I´ve been searching in the internet for Blood Angels lists and I have discovered most of them are soups with Astra Militarum.
I don´t feel like buying and painting 60 infantry guards, so I was happy when I found this one: Blood angles mixed with tanks:

BLOOD ANGELS BATTALION DETACHMENT:


HQ:

Captain: jump pack, lightning claw, power fist 113
Chaplain: bolt pistol, jump pack 90 p

Troops:

Intercessor Squad (5): stalker bolt rifle 100 p
Scout squad (5): camo cloak, sniper rifle 86 p
Scout scuat (5): Boltgun 55 p

Elites:

Death company (9): jump pack, 1xt hunder hammer, 1x power fist, 7x bolt pistol and chainsword 208 p
Sanguinary guard (6): 3 x encarmine sword and angelus boltgun, 3 x power fist and angelus boltgun 210 p

Heavy support:

Devastator squad (5): cherub, 3 x lascannon, 2 x boltgun 145 p

To be honest, I don´t even know how this list works. I guess that is based in Blood Angels striking and Astra killing hordes and taking objectives. I really don´t know. As I said I´m just starting in the hobby. I selected this list because I would love colect this force: several different BA troops and a few big tanks. Nice to paint! I am not deeply interested in competitive game, but I live in a county where everybode plays in that way, so I should collect a strong army to avoid being destroyed at first turn.

So what do you think? Could it work? Thanks for your comments!

Well, an AM army with battle tanks usually bubble wraps the tanks such that they cannot be charged.
If so, they could pull out but cannot shoot next turn.
Its not an ideal list. I'd suggest a Baneblade as an add-on to a BA army.

If you don't like 60 guardsmen models(I don't like them too,who like them? The old cardian kits have poor detail and weird head/torso/limb scale), you may try 30. 0 just won't work...

30 guardsmen plus a few tanks plus 3 or 4 BA elite units is fine for me.

60 guards plus a few mortars plus 3 BA scouts units and 2 BA hammerers captains is too far from BA concept.Not my cup of tea. And I don´t like it, for competitive it can be.

Your better off making all leman russes executioners and takeing harker for reroll ones ive run similar lists at etc a couple of times and finished middle to top third ditch the intersessors for a scout squad ditch the devs and add HWT also get rid of the sniper rifles camo cloaks make yoir scouts as cheap as possible
