Besides the wikis and the story Labyrinth, is there anymore stuff out there on this guy? I was thinking of crafting a Sons of Malice army, and I've read that playing as Chaos Undivided might work best, with various Chaos Marines and 'chastised' daemons.

There isn't really much other than fannon because GW had to axe it very quickly.

I thought Malal was simply name changed to Malice.

That was certainly the intent of the author of Labyrinth.. who never wrote for GW again.

I've seen Andy Hoare - who among other things wrote the Index Astartes article which covered the Sons of Malice' fall from grace - state that the aforementioned author was wrong, that they're just a really malicious warband and don't worship anything.
