So I want to attach a chain to the barbed spear of my Khinari so that instead of them simply getting a new bard spear by materialising it out of the shadowy eather, they instead have a chain to pull it back from their target once its thrown.

I've found some resin chain https://www.zinge.co.uk/collections/flexible-resin/products/flexible-chain-sprue-set-of-6-various though I am open to any other options people know of (searching for small chain was tricky as it generates a lot of real chain results). Attaching it to the back of the javlins shouldn't be hard, but I'm wondering how to model it so that the chain has somewhere on the model to "store" for its long length.

One idea is to give them a small hip-mounted "back of holding" so that the chain essentially goes into that and then uncoils from within it. Another is to wrap it around part of the model, it won't be anywhere near enough to actually go ny distance, but it would carry the effect for visual purposes; though khinari are very high detail, high pose and fine models os I don't know if there's room anywhere to really wrap or coil it up?

Jewelry chain is small enough and you can get the links in different sizes. Super glues pretty well in place too. What about scorpion from mortal combat, it comes from his hand or a wrist shooter looking thing. Like he's summoning it from his hand.

Ghost rider (god of vengeance) the Marvel comic has it wrapped in an X around his torso, and it uncoils from his body from his hands. Like the chain moves as its uncoiling.

Sounds like a cool idea, just dont paint it like a normal chain if its appearing out of no-where.
