I've been getting a little caught up with all the excitement around the new knight book, so after a rather expensive trip to the shop I've got Renegade and A Dominus Knight. Looking for feedback on this list I've thrown together. The idea is to let the knights do what they do, and have the Scions there for mid game objective grabbing and for a CP battery to let me get extra relics and warlord traits, as well as being able to use the excellent stratagems,

Its worth noting, I haven't bought or painted any of the scions yet, I just like how they look. Rule of cool and all that.

Thanks for the help everyone.

You have a good list. And I think that with all those CP you could Sally Forth on the Gallant and give people something to worry about. If nothing else, certainly distract them.

Thanks for the feedback.

Is it worth it to take the special weapons off the Scions to try and fit some carapace weapons on the knights. I'm not too eager for the anti tank carapace weapon as the Castellan should be enough I hope. Are the anti air options any good?

I have a similar setup and it is quite good and fun but in my view you want the Scions for objective grabbing so keep them barebones and skip carapace upgrades.
If i do take plasma it is 2 Command Squads with 1 Tempestor w/ Rod dropping in somewhere.

Why skip carapace weapons? With Raven I can advance and still shoot them.

They're just not worth the cost in my view. Put those points into something else like a Taurox Prime with Gatlings which has more shots than the carapace weapons, or more Scions units or a Culexus assassin.

One of the main reasons I like your Scions is that you didn't neglect Plasma guns. Simple touches like that that make any unit so much more than its componet is good insight. You turn your CP battery into something with some teeth. Nothing amazing, but good show.

On carapace weapons, I would try it both ways. Sometimes they do it all, some days they don't do anything. Right now I'm very fond of both knights getting the Ironstorms, and both targeting some unit turn after turn that my opponent is hiding.
