I have no experience facing foot custodes and just a bit facing custodes, but here's some general advice for newbies:

When you start playing, don't judge whether a unit is good or bad by whether it survives your opponent's turn - they'll target the best stuff if they know what it is. Judge whether a unit is good by how it performs when it DOES survive.

i would drop one of the HQ's, that's a lot of points invested in 3 models, and I've never been convinced of Valoris. I'd also keep the Hurricane Bolters on the Jetbikes, and keep all the Custodians one loadout.

Looks good. If you're a complete noob without any experience you should do fine. You're not using 2 bikes, 1 terminator, and 1 guard that you actually purchase though. So you may want to think about that, especially if you haven't bought any yet

Rule of cool is most important, but the best advice you can give for custodes is always more bikes=better list. So if you buy 3 boxes of bikes, 3 of guard, and valoris then that's a strong list.
Say:
Valoris 250
Bike captain 160
3x4 guard, 1 Sword shield in each 215x3 645
Vexilla magnifica with spear 122
2x4 bikes, all miser (leftover points), 2 salvo in each 406x2 812
1993

If you're completely taken away by the terminators then get them, they're awesome models and great to build and paint (finished mine today) but really don't pull their weight in the table. For 6 points you can get a bike, which is just far better. They are too slow, which makes them vulnerable, and then when eventually they hit combat, they are only as good as bikes, if not worse.

Welcome to 40k, have fun!
