Subject: How do YOU infiltrate your opponents’ back Lines?

Just curious what everyone’s best tactics are for infiltrating your opponent’s backfield. This especially comes in handy for grabbing objectives, or in the case of ITC Missions, getting some of the Secondary missions.
I have been practicing for ITC missions and play Tallarn with Custodes and Knight Allies. I run a nearly barebones Guard Brigade, including 3 Platoon COs. A while back I decided to use the Tallarn Ambush stratagem to flank them onto the table. Since I usually take Recon and Behind Enemy Lines as ITC secondary missions I wanted to see how it would do.
Was I surprised- since they’re just one model they’ll fit just about anywhere on the opponent’s backfield, and since Ambush allows you to bring them on anywhere separately, I pop one in each corner and wherever else I can fit them and into cover. Even better is if you are in their lines with other units and they can’t target your guys because of the character keyword. They become the cheapest Distraction Carnifexes in the game, and when they’re targeted they more than make up their points just by taking the attention from other units.
What are your best tactics for this?

Smash through the rest of the army and drive them back!
Your tactic sounds good. A bit cp hungry but good. Jetbike are pretty good at getting behind the enemy and getting stuck in actually, and if you're bringing a competitive list I imagine that's what you have.

My reserves look like this: one Intercept Squad of three; two Jump Pack Assault Marines of five each, two Drop Pods with Sternguard Veterans and a Captain. Yes, I'm still a fan of Drop Pods and when people ask why I still run them I tell them it's because they still work. If their backfield is crammed full of troops then I pick the weaker flank and break it, or if their backfield is open then I descend.
I have the Interceptors and Assault Marines drop together. The Interceptors will often soften up a target that my Assault Marines will then charge into. Or, depending on the situation and foe, the Interceptors will target something tougher while the Assault Marines blend backfield infantry.
Obviously, Drop Pod'ed Sternguard vets target vehicles.

I take a great amount of glee in dropping my Sicarian Infiltrators right by my opponent's blobs and using the Wrath of Mars Stratagem. Cuts through most screening units and clears objective holding infantry like a charm if I end up in range.

Bingo!
Honestly it's pretty hard to get backfield by special deployments. My opponents usually screen me out. Doesn't mean I'm not trying but usually I gotta break down their lines first to clear an LZ conventionally. Most of my plans involve longer ranged threats with the option rather than the primary plan..
The chaff wars are real.

Sororitas heavy bolters chew a few holes in the rear guard on Turn 1, and plasma Scions drop in on Turn 2. Even min-maxed it can be hard to squeeze 16 models (3x5+Prime) into a gap 9" from everything, so the Retributers really need to do their job or the beta strike is weakened somewhat.

Bring him and 3 non-Primaris units in, suddenly your opponent's Baneblade has 6 Melta shots coming at him from one squad! I ususally did the Melta Devs alongside a Tactical Squad and Sternguard, backed up by Primaris arriving via StFS, and Reivers arriving via Grav Chutes.

Not done building, but I imagine my 3 plasma scion Command squads and Tempestor Prime with the Laurels of Command will drop in after the Valkyries, Gatling Cannon Taurox Primes, and Hot-Shot Lasguns Scions hace chewed through all the chaff, and utterly destroy anything left with overcharged plasma, re rolling ones, and hopefully Elimination Protocol, Sanctioned.

On a more serious note, I had a bang-on Raven Guard army in 6th that was perfect for outflanking. If I couldn't do that or felt like it was a gamble I would instead deploy up the board and then scout move my entire army forward. Melta Tacs in Assault Cannon Razorbacks with Assault Marines and a Jump Captain. Used to really wreck face. Then 7th edition...

Endless Swarm for Tyranids (with prerequisite reinforcement points set aside). Nothing more surprising than a brood of 30 Termagants that had been killed earlier walking on from the opponent's deployment edge, as most backfield objective holders aren't able to deal with that many bodies.
For GSC... Well, the backfield is really my other deployment zone so almost anything could end up there.

If there’s space, it’s always bants to Jump a big mob of Shoota boyz right into the middle of things. If my opponent’s not left space for that, I throw a unit of meganobz at them. They’re not actually all that effective in terms of damage output, but they’re resilient enough and seem to sufficiently bother people that they spend a lot of time and energy trying to kill them.
