So, I'm heading to Gencon next month. What model(s) would you suggest I get while I'm there? I play World Eaters mostly. I'm thinking Kytan and melee Contemptor, then a second butcher cannon or claw for the Decimator.

Forgeworld melee Contemptor feels like a bad deal when you can buy two plastic kits to make a melee one and a double assault cannon one for about the same price.

Eh, I see where you're goin with that. It I don't need 3 Contemptor Dreadnoughts. I mostly want the FW one because of the iconography. The plastic ones have some Imperial inlays and such. I will keep that in mind though, thanks for that.

Brass scorpion was an option before the points went up.

Whatever it is make it quick. It will probably go to LCTB shortly given the current stat of affairs.

It still is an option, I run mine from time to time and it still stomps quite happily over the enemies army (and hopefully explodes in their face).

Never taken it to a tournament but it always pulls it's weight, even against my mate's tank hunter army it can put down the hurt.

I did see two of them being run in tandem at a tournament once though; IIRC most lists couldn't deal with the two but they wavered on objectives.

Go for the legion specific contemptor. Mine looks badass and you can do soooooooo much more posing with than the plastic ones.

What about a Storm Eagle? Is that something that would be a good choice for a WE army?

Just picked up a dreadclaw from a member here.

With fire raptors going up and my need for transports, storm eagle looks really good to me. I think I'll add it to my list of potential pick ups.
