So there's a 2k point tourney next weekend, and I'm having trouble deciding on whether or not to use a Lord of Skulls or a Renegade Knight. I should preface this by saying I know I'm not going to win and I'm not trying to, I just wanna do as much damage as possible. I also know that 2k is probably too low to use either of these and have the full effect of my army, but I only have 2 Skull Cannons and I need more firing support than that. Also I just really wanna use one of my big robots.

LoS's datasheet is better. At the end he can hit 24 times.

The second list is better. The big issue I have with your list are the way your bloodletters are set up. Units of 10 is just really bad. You are spending 60 points on banners alone that could be spent on more bodies. What I have found that works for pure khorne is you need at least 1 30 strong bloodletter bomb. There is no really good way to solve that if you insist on taking a big robot, but I do understand the need for a double batallion as daemon are CP hungry.

Consider taking the chainsword + gauntlent variant knight. Its not as good as the IK variant, but its still decent.

Bloodletters are terrible objective holders so if they aren't killing in CC they are expensive guardsmen without guns.

Your relic choices need addressed. Skullreaver on a DP with legendary fighter does more damage than a thirster in combat and can hide behind units. Armor of Scorn on the thirster + Warp Surge is a great way to potentially take shots away from the Lord of Skulls.

One Skull cannon isn't going to do anything, I would cut it for more bloodletters.

Under no circumstances take blood crushers. They are just awful.

Do you have hounds? They are cheap, quick, and can offer crucial psychic denial.

good luck!

I appreciate the feedback!

I only have 60 letters at the moment, so that's one issue I'm working on fixing.
I also planning on getting dogs after I get more letters.

I really don't like wasting anything on thirsters cause they die way to easily for my liking, especially with how bloody expensive they are. Typically I don't even like taking them, but I have to if I dont want all my letters to run away.

And for Princes, at least in my store they've proven to be good enough without any help, so he's worth giving the extra survivability from the Armor. I remember there was an escalation league, where in the first round I had a prince and 30 letters as a patrol, and turn 1 all my letters died, then my prince tabled the other guy single-handedly.

In the end I ended up scrapping both of these lists.
I ended up taking 1 battalion of 2 princes, same set up with claws and wings, 1 having the armor, 60 letters, only 5 with banners, and I was able to fit both a fully equipped Lord of Skulls AND a double-battle cannon Knight.

Sounds awful, but it actually did a lot better than I was expecting. Only one person all day was able to kill either of them, and I would've gotten 3rd place if I didn't make one wrong decision during one of the games.

I actually was able to completely wipe out some Stodes with it.

So turns out that 2 big robots and 60 little dudes is pretty decent lmao
