I'm building a small DW primaris force from the starter box primaris and I think I can easily convert LTs in other characters / units.

But I don't know what to do with the gravis captain since this option is not in the codex.
I, for one, quite like the mini and I'm totally about converting it, but I don't want to turn him in a regular Aggressor.
I was thinking to kitbash and use him either as :

1) A captain in terminator armor. By removing some bits and changing the head to a bald one.
Statlines are quite similar. I would remove the autostorm bolter from the gauntlet and replace the sword by a combi-bolter of some kind.
On a game pov, it would provide me with a character with built in DP, which Primaris lack of.

2) A watchmaster, by replacing the sword by a guardian spear and removing again the autobolter.
The gauntlet will be the clavis, maybe with some bits added.
A bit bulkier but after all, the WM has a 2+ save

Would you be confortable playing against such a conversion/count as ? Which one do you feel is the more "natural" ?
Or do you find this idea absolutely ridiculous ?

yeah, I'd be totally fine with it (either way). I'd use the Watchmaster profile since you can just claim it to be an unusual Artificer Armour (2+ Sv) .

Thanks for your answer. I will certainly go the watchmaster way, should make a fun conversion.

I agree with Nekooni. Watchmaster is the better choice.

gravis captains not being in the DW codex seems an odd choice

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

There's not one available without the left shoulderpad pre-molded on.
