Marines - Ultramarines


Marines got 1-st turn and a bunch of "kill stuff" and "score something far away" objectives, dealt 18 damage to CRASSUS ARMORED ASSAULT VEHICLE leaving it with just 2, killed a couple guards. 1 Helblater overheated to death.
Marines 0 - IG 0
Guards also got some "kill stiff" objectives, advanced, shot down 2 helblasters, dealt a wound to aggressors and 6 to dread with a lucky lazcannon shot.

Librarian smites 3 guards. Marine shooting finishes off a CRASSUS ARMORED ASSAULT VEHICLE (6 guards die underneath the rabble), deals 6 wounds to a leman russ, kills a power fist company commander, 1 bullgrin, deals 2 wounds to another one and kills a grand total of 23 guards (+1 to saves and cover helps a lot to save some of them vs aggressors). 1 helblaster overheats. Intercessors decide to charge a 7-man guard squad, make it into combat, but kill just 2 because they had to get out of Guilliman's re-roll everything aura and guards happened to be extraordinarily good with 5+ in mellee. In return guards deal a wound, Straken manages to get heroic intervention off but only kills a single marine - 4 are left. Marines fight again and kill 1 more guard. Marines get a bunch of CP for killing stuff and First blood.
Marines 5 - IG 0
Guard infantry moves forward, tank patches up a wound with a stratagem, fix bayonets order allows to kill another intercessor - they keep making 4+ saves vs straken like crazy but 3 regular guards and a power sword sarge kill one. Shooting downs 4 helblasters, 1 aggressor, another lucky lazcannon shot deals 5 wounds to a dread and a heavy bolter deals another one leaving it standing with 1 wound. Ogryn bodyguard charges 2 aggressors and gets a hail of bolter fire to the face - 7 wounds and four 1-s on a 2++ save. Still gets to combat with 2 wounds remaining. Bullgryns follow up. Guards charge intercessors and a dread loosing 3 to overwatch from a dread. Guards finish off intercessors and kill aggressors, though a single aggressor got to interrupt the fight order with a strategem and pummel an ogryn to death.
Marines 5 - IG 1
Dread falls back, Guilliman and a librarian move forward. Smite finishes off an unlucky bullgryn bodyguard. Shooting kills a bunch of guards and brings a leman russ down to 1 wound but dread overheats his final wound away in the process. Librarian charges a remaining bullgryn, Guilliman multicharges a company commander warlord and a priest. Librarian deals 2 wounds to a bullgryn and takes 2 in return. Guilliman decides to split attacks and...deals 3 wounds to a commander and 2 (mortal wounds) to a priest - the rest gets saved by 5++ and 4++ thanks to cp re-roll, so both miraculously survive with 1 wound remaining. Straken intervenes and 3 crazy heroic mortals fight a primarch. Company commander manages to hit everything and with re-roll to-wound from old grudges all 5 hits end up as wounds. 3 of which get through an invulnerable save resulting in 6 damage done. Straken deals 2 more wounds and a priest finishes Guilliman off - even the last cp spent on a re-roll doesn't help. Guilliman doesn't manage to get up.
