Tournament coming up next Saturday, at 2000 points.

I have all old Chaos Dwarves models: 12 Bull Centaurs, Shartor, also Drazhoath the Ashen, a Dreadquake Mortar, and Deathshrieker Rocket launcher, and a couple Daemonsmiths, Castellan, and Standard Bearer.
The Centaurs can be batteline with Shartor as general with my Azgorh allegiance (don't have my little guys started yet).

Given all that, what might be best as allies with my Legion of Azgorh? They can take as allies gargants, Everchosen, all four Chaos god keywords, and Slaves to Darkness. Following are possibilities I have all ready and painted.

-I have had good experience using Flamers of Tzeentch with a disc herald, the extra shootyness might be very useful along with their mobility. Extra spell caster is good too. I also have a Tzeentch daemon prince.

-For Nurgle I have nurglings x12, a Plague Priest (the Skaven guy who also has Nurgle keyword), and a daemon prince. Infiltrating nurglings x9 with a plague priest decent?

-Using Khorne I could toss in 3 khorgoraths and a bloodstoker. They don't really buff Azgorh, but can one ever go wrong with 3 bloodstoked khorgoraths?

-Then for Slaves to Darkness, I was thinking the best possible would be the Sorcerer Lord for daemonic power.

Any thoughts? Not too many people use Azgorh, though I think in the new edition they could be pretty decent.

Personally I'm a big fan of Chaos Furies. Great little flying speed bumps. 60pts for a way to hold objectives without devoting expensive units to hanging back.

Also their ability to trigger additional battleshock damage is fantastic when coupled with the sheer impact shock charging renders can put out. Can help clear a whole unit.

If you look at renders charging say a block of 20 clanrats:
3 renders will average 10.5 wounds (let's call it 10 for easy math)
Clanrats have bravery 4 (+1 from 10+ models) so on average 8 flee. Leaving 2 left alive, renders are still stuck in combat. Just having furies nearby means on average 4 more flee which would finish off the unit.

If they charge say stormfiends:
Charging renders deal 6.25 damage (1 dead)
Bravery 6 means on a 6+ 1 model flees.
With furies nearby you have a 8% chance that the rest of the unit flees off a single model kill. Not much but potentially massive.

Oh cool! I hadn't condsidered the battleshock manipulation aspect before. Furies wouldn't garner much attention either. I'll see what other allies that might help with bravery negating they could maybe take.

One reason I like the Deathshrieker too.
