Hey all,

With the new edition of Age of Sigmar, I managed to play a few games with my two older sons and had a great time. Now I have purchased battletomes for Sylvaneth (before the second edition dropped) as well as Blades of Khorne (again before second edition), as well as the new edition of Stormcast and Nighthaunts.

I have been super busy trying to assemble, prime and paint my models, as my wife gives me crap for buying and not doing anything with them. So now I am here because I am not sure what to do with my Sylvaneth! I have the following models but I am not sure which wargrove to go for as far as painting goes.

So hopefully next week I will be ordering a start collecting Sylvaneth box which will give me a Treeman, a Branchwych and 16 Dryads which I will add to the following that I already own:

Drycha Hamadreth
28 Dryads
2x5 Spite Revenants
Another unit of either Spite Revenants or Tree Revenants (I haven’t assembled the box yet)
And 3 Kurnoth Hunters which I haven’t assembled yet.

So now I turn to you and ask which Wargrove should I go for or does it even matter?

Also I would like to include Drycha just because the rule of cool!

Thanks for your help,
Chappy

Definitely try to convert yourself a Branchwraith. Getting to summon additional Dryads is very handy.

Also I’d make that Tree Lord an Ancient. The forest generation is very useful for all the abilities that rely on Wyldwoods.

You probably want to make a unit of tree revenants. Their mobility is amazing for grabbing objectives and hitting backfield artillery.
Drycha is great even without any spite revenants, she’s a one-woman mortal wound machinegun.
I’d agree on making a Tree Lord ancient, they’re versatile and the command ability is very good.
As far as battalions, gnarlwood is pretty much the best one but they’re all decent. At sub-1500 games you’re probably better off without a battalion but above that the points hit is worth it for the buffs, extra relics and chance to go first.
