This is a game I have in the works, wanted to share it here with all the big stompy robot talk going on in here of late. It’s still an early beta, but if folks would like to give it a whirl and let me know what they think, I would appreciate it.

The basic premise is this:

Mankind has spread to the stars, using a Supraluminal drive that moves the ship through a “compressed” version of space. A few years after establishing colonies, titanic sized monsters - nicknamed Behemoths - began to show up from seemingly nowhere to destroy them. In response, humanity began to create giant robots to try and defend against the attacks. Eventually, it was learned that an alien race from the reality the supraluminal ships were traveling through were sending the monsters. There was at first a war with the beings, then a peace treaty was brokered. Mankind returned to its colonization efforts and the mechanism were first decommissioned, then repurposed to fight in gladiatorial your for humanity’s own conflicts. These mercenaries became known as Gunslingers.

TL;DR - the big mechs are Gunslingers, the monsters are Behemoths. They can fight each other or you can have battles with just the robots or the monsters.

The rules for Behemoths are incomplete for now, but you can beat each other up with the Gunslingers for now. The system falls in between classic Battletech and Alpha Strike. I’ve done a couple of test games with about 4 mechs per team (both 2 player and 4 player Games), with the Games lasting a half hour or less.

I'd have to take a look at the rules when I have the time, but the idea seems interesting
