Today i read that FoWs ww2 skirmish game Tanks is beeing re released under the Team Yankee setting.

What bothers me whit this is that the german king tiger(p and h) and the jagdtiger still havent recived an official stat card but the u.s m26 and the russian is2 and isu had stat cards when the game was released.
And i bet the odds of these 2 german heavys getting a statcard is dropping now that the game is leaving the w2 setting.

So, does any1 that play this game have any home made statcards or suggestions for statcards for these 2 missing german tanks??

It all has to do with the fact that neither of those German tanks are available in plastic but the others you mentioned are. You're not likely to see official cards for them because of that.

There's a couple of Tanks Facebook pages that people have posted custom cards in so that would be a good place to look.

1.) Where are you seeing news about it being rereleased? I did a quick search online, but couldn't turn up anything about a 1985 setting for the game.
2.) Are you absolutely certain that they're abandoning the World War 2 setting? Tanks uses Battlefront's plastic models. New vehicles don't just get released on their own, so the overall cost of releasing new product can't be all that high (since the molds are being made for figures for Battlefront's other games). I'd be very surprised if Battlefront just up and decided to abandon the game when the only things that they're making specifically for the game are the cards and packaging. And there's no reason to believe that Battlefront won't continue to convert its resin and metal vehicles to plastic.
3.) Having said all of that, releasing a Team Yankee version does make sense. Off the top of my head, the only tank in Team Yankee that isn't plastic is the M551 Sheridan. All of the other tanks are plastic. So a TY release would fit with Battlefront's general methods so far and have a decent amount of options to choose from. But that doesn't mean that they'd necessarily abandon the WW2 version of the game.

Also keep in mind that Tanks has it exists right now probably has more tanks available than the entire selection of tanks that currently exist in the 1985 Team Yankee setting.

Beasts of War had the story on Tuesday.

Correct, thats where i saw it. But as it is nothing on the official FoW site, i have no idea how BoW got a hold of this news.
And in that article, the wording as i read it is that they are abandoning the ww2 setting in favor of TY.

That KT and JTiger are still resin/metal kits is something am fully aware of, but that should not exlude them from having official stat cards.

It was revealed at the Battlefront Open about a month ago with a bunch of other stuff (Oil Wars, the new FoW mid war books, etc.).

It should exclude them because that's how that game works. The only things that get official cards are the plastic tanks that can be repackaged for the game because that's the business model. There's a faint possibility that it could be included in OP kit, but I wouldn't hold your breath.

Battlefront sells the KT and Jtiger in single model packs on the FoW site, there is no logical reasons to why they cant tuck a GF9: Tanks statcard inside them.
heck, half of my Tanks armys are resin/metal tanks from FoW, not GF9s plastic repacages.

The KT and JT aren't plastic, though. They're resin. And I can't find anything about them being a combined kit. Are you sure you aren't thinking of the Jagdpanther?

The BoW article talks about a revamp to Tanks. But I noted that it never says that the old Tanks is going away. Two possibilities come to mind. The first is that BF has released all the plastic WW2 tanks that it plans to release for now. The second is that BoW is engaged in sloppy writing, and the old Tanks will continue to get new releases.

There is a reason and that reason is that they aren't plastic kits. Battlefront's business plan for Tanks is only plastic kits.

Which makes you not the target audience for the game. It's essentially FoW Lite and designed to get people interested in small skirmish-type games (like X-Wing) into an historical setting.
