Hey all. I'm currently working on fluff for the two "lost" legions", which, as it turns out, are not lost at all.

I plan to write more fluff surrounding these very much alive legions, but, for now, would like to showcase a couple of the minis I've been working on.

*Gah. Just noticed that I accidentally put "Legio IX" under my first pic of the Captain. I of course meant "Legio XI". Haven't worked out how to change that yet.

More pics; still new to posting pics, so getting used to it. Pics slightly grainy. Bear with me; they will improve.

Seen here is 6th Coy Capt Farelle in detail. In the final picture, we see him accompanied with a 6th Coy trooper.

More to follow.

The hawkeyed among you may remember the model which I have chosen to represent the good Captain.

He is a limited edition SM Captain from Games Day '91. I've had him for many, many years, but never worked up the nerve to paint him. Until now.

You may also notice that he isn't wearing his skull-adorned Games Day '91 cloak. This is because I think it's fairly horrible. I therefore replaced it with a SM Captain Backpack, and Green Stuff cape.

I hope I've done this iconic mini justice.

Elbows; thanks, man. Glad you like them. Capt' Farelle was the bane of my life for a while. I ended up painting and stripping him down a couple of times before I was happy with him.

Next up will be a couple of minis from Legio II "The Faceless".

Just as soon as I've matt varnished them. To follow imminently.

Much appreciated, mate. Coming up with that scheme, I took a close look at the other legion colour schemes, and tried to come up with something different. I'm not aware of any other Legion or Chapter which has different coloured greaves / backpack, other than the Taurans (where I got the idea from in the first place).

In terms of the other colours, I took this as a nod to the Lamenters, who I've always had a strong liking for. However, I didn't just want to paint a Lamenters army, and so this idea came up.

The colour scheme for the Faceless is also (as far as I'm aware) also unique; even more so than this one. But, you'll see that when I post it.

Thanks again!

As promised, two marines from Legio II - "The Faceless".

Pictured is Kaptan ("Captain" in the Faceless' own language) Huur'q Ar-Ulnan, of the 6th Fratellanza ("Brotherhood")

He has fallen partially victim to a condition known to the II Legion as "The Dwindling", hence the cloak. More on this mysterious affliction in future posts.

He is seen brandishing a weapon unique to The Faceless, known as a Kinetic Incinerator Sword. Again, more on this in future posts.

In the final picture, Kapt' Ar-Ulnan is seen with a 6th Fratellanza Bahar, ("Marine").

The Faceless use their own language and titles among themselves, but utilise Imperial Gothic when addressing outsiders.

Pictures not quite right, still. Need to get a better camera.

Again, hawkeyed readers will have seen the model for Kapt' Ar-Ulnan before, from Rogue Trader days. Back then, the model was known only as "Hooded Tabard".

As always, constructive feedback/ critique appreciated.

I'd honestly appreciate some constructive feedback, everyone. I'm very interested in what others think, and am keen to develop my ideas further, with some input.

They look top-notch paintwise. The colours are a bit boring to me. I do like the use of the old Psyker, though he looks more like a hippie cosplayer now!

Lol, maybe I'll make them a legion of hippies!

Were you referring to the Faceless when you said you thought the colours looked boring? If so, then I haven't applied their legion decals yet, and the individual marine done fairly quickly for the post. I'd add more detail / colours in future.

I went for that scheme as I'd not seen a halved scheme at the waist before.

And ideas you could throw my way to improve the two faceless?
